PS Renewables partners with egg Power to deliver 70MW UK solar project
Progress on Grange Solar Farm has been significantly boosted following a new partnership between PS Renewables and egg Power, Liberty Global’s clean energy infrastructure investment business.
Located near Palgrave, Grange Solar Farm is the largest solar project brought into construction by PS Renewables to date. With a 70MW capacity, once connected the project will be capable of generating enough clean electricity to power over 21,000 homes.
After acquiring the project last year, PS Renewables’ in‑house development and engineering teams refined the design and guided the project through the final stages of planning. Throughout this process, PS Renewables has worked closely with stakeholders to balance renewable energy generation with environmental enhancements and community benefit.
This has included close coordination with the county archaeology team, resulting in the identification, recording and protection of important finds, with the final layout designed around heritage assets. The project also delivers significant ecological enhancements, including extensive new planting and creation of wildlife habitats, along with a new permissive footpath for local residents.
The partnership sees egg Power acquiring the project rights and PS Renewables retained as EPC contractor. This strategic move supports the continued build‑out of high‑quality UK renewable energy assets and reflects PS Renewables’ commitment to accelerating the energy transition through strong partnerships.
Construction at Grange Solar Farm is now well underway, with the project on track to be energised later this year. Once complete, it will become the 40th solar farm in the UK to be developed, designed or built by PS Renewables. PS Renewables continues to work alongside the local parish council, holding regular meetings to keep the community informed of site activities.
Jose Luis Gandia, Managing Director at PS Renewables said: ‘We are proud to have brought the Grange Solar Farm through the pre-construction phase and to be partnering with egg Power on its next chapter. This project reflects our mission to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and shore up our energy security.
“Egg Power’s commitment to scaling clean, low‑cost energy solutions aligns strongly with our values, and we look forward to seeing Grange progress into construction and operation under their stewardship.”
PS Renewables remains actively engaged in bringing forward a pipeline of renewable energy and battery storage projects across the UK, continuing to work with landowners, communities, investors, and strategic partners to deliver clean energy at scale and pace.
