We are delighted to announce that the Skye Green Solar Farm near Feering, Essex has received planning permission from Braintree District Council.
This is an important milestone for this project which, once built, would generate renewable energy of the equivalent electricity required to power 7,500 homes.
Senior Planning Manager, James Walker said: “We are very pleased that the Skye Green Solar Farm has been granted planning permission. We would like to thank Braintree District Council, who determined this application in a timely manner, and Feering Parish Council and the local community for their input both before and following the application submission.”
The Skye Green Solar Farm will be located on 56 acres of land between Feering and Coggeshall. Construction is expected to begin in 2027.
