Rosefield Solar Farm reaches significant milestone in DCO process

We are pleased that Rosefield Solar Farm has now begun its six-month Examination following the Preliminary Meeting which took place on 24 February 2026.

The start of the examination stage is a significant milestone for the Rosefield project, which PS Renewables is bringing forward in partnership with EDF power solutions. It is our fourth solar DCO to enter the examination process, with our next DCO application (South Brooks Solar Farm) expected to be submitted early next year.

The application will now be independently examined by the Planning Inspectorate. As part of this examination, members of the public can share their views directly to the Planning Inspectorate in writing and at public hearings.

We encourage everyone local to the project to have their say as part of the examination, which is due to close by 24 August 2026. Having considered all views, the Planning Inspectorate will make a recommendation to the Secretary of State on whether or not the project should be granted consent. This decision is expected to be made in early 2027.

If consented, Rosefield Solar Farm would produce enough clean energy to power more than 57,000 UK homes.
