We are pleased that One Earth Solar Farm has now begun its six-month Examination following the Preliminary Meeting which took place on 8th July 2025.
The start of the examination stage is a significant milestone for the One Earth project, which PS Renewables is bringing forward in partnership with Ørsted. It is our third solar DCO to enter the examination process, with our next DCO application (Rosefield Solar Farm) expected to be submitted later this year.
The application will now be independently examined by the Planning Inspectorate. As part of this examination, members of the public can share their views directly to the Planning Inspectorate in writing and at public hearings.
We encourage everyone local to the project to have their say as part of the examination, which is due to close by 8 January 2026. Having considered all views, the Planning Inspectorate will make a recommendation to the Secretary of State on whether or not the project should be granted consent. This decision is expected to be made in summer 2026.
If consented, One Earth Solar Farm would produce enough clean energy to power more than 200,000 UK homes.
