PS Renewables receives planning consent for another 14MW solar farm in Essex

We are delighted to announce that Dunmow Solar Farm has received full planning permission, with work on-site planned to start Summer 2024. This is a fantastic solar project situated on a south-sloping site, close to a duel carriageway. The grid connection is located on-site, with capacity to connect in 2025. We are working closely with UKPN to optimise the energisation date.

This is an important milestone for this project which, once built, will generate clean renewable energy equivalent to meet the needs of almost 5,600 homes each year, reducing the dependence on fossil-fuelled power stations and their harmful emissions.

Commercial Director for PS Renewables, Jeremy Hinton said:

“This project is one that PS Renewables has been able to resurrect from an initial inception back at the end of the renewables subsidy period in 2015. It is a great site which needed our focus and attention to detail to enable the landowner’s original vision to be realised. We are proud to be at the forefront of meeting the government’s target of Net Zero by 2050 and 70GW of Solar PV by 2035!”
