Planning permission granted for new solar farm capable of powering 7,500 homes
PS Renewables is delighted to announce that the Ferry Lane Solar Farm, near Skellingthorpe, Lincolnshire has received planning permission from North Kesteven District Council.
This is an important milestone for this project, which will generate renewable energy of equivalent electricity required to power 7,500 homes.
Senior Planning Manager, James Walker, said: “It is fantastic to receive planning permission for the Ferry Lane Solar Farm, an excellently located project in North Kesteven. Changes to flood modelling presented a challenge to the project team and overcoming this in liaison with the Environment Agency and the local Council is particularly satisfying. We were also pleased to have received very limited public objection to our application, supporting the positive decision made by the Council. We are now looking forward to delivering the significant public benefits Ferry Lane Solar Farm will bring.”
The Ferry Lane Solar Farm will be located on 75 acres of land to the north-east of Skellingthorpe and west of Burton Waters.
